Creator Terms

1. Scope and operator

STOORY is a service of Winnow Communication (VAT ID 05004790266, Italy). These Terms govern the relationship between STOORY and the creator who submits an idea and receives a work produced by the platform (a single story, a series or a manga series), its optional publication in the marketplace and the related royalties. The Terms version applied to each publication and sale is the one shown in the creator dashboard at that time and is stored immutably.

2. Creator contributions

The creator remains the owner of their original contributions: original expression, own texts, characters, concepts, names, materials and personal inputs. The creator may freely reuse those contributions to create different works, including outside STOORY, at any time and without restriction.

3. The final version produced by STOORY

The 'final version' means the specific work produced by the STOORY platform from the creator's inputs, including final text, layout, cover and editorial elements. To the extent permitted by law, the rights available in the final version remain with the creator. STOORY does not claim copyright ownership that may not exist in purely AI-generated elements.

4. Publication: request and review

Every work created on STOORY stays private until the creator requests publication in the catalogue. The request requires the mandatory declarations shown in the interface (originality, lawfulness, third-party rights, age rating, acceptance of these Terms and the Content Policy), recorded with date and document version. Every work is reviewed by the STOORY team before going on sale: STOORY may approve, request changes or refuse publication. Until approval the work is not visible or purchasable by the public.

5. Freedom to use and publish

The creator may use, publish, distribute and commercially exploit the final version, in whole or in part, through platforms or channels other than STOORY, subject to third-party rights and the terms of the services chosen. Publication in the STOORY catalogue does not impose commercial exclusivity.

6. Licence to STOORY

When the creator requests publication, they grant STOORY a non-exclusive, worldwide licence limited to the activities requested on the platform and sublicensable only to the required technical providers, to: sell the work in the STOORY marketplace; promote it; distribute it; deliver it to buyers; store and archive it; create previews, extracts and marketing materials; and guarantee access to copies already purchased. The creator remains free to use and publish the work elsewhere. Withdrawal from the catalogue does not prejudice buyers already served, except in case of refund or dispute.

7. Royalties and Creator Net Revenue (CNR)

Creator Net Revenue is the sale price net of applicable VAT, payment-processor fees and any refunded or disputed amounts. The creator receives 50% of CNR on every sale. The applicable percentage is frozen on each individual sale when the sale is completed and is never recalculated retroactively: future changes to percentages apply only to later sales. The VAT rate applied is configurable and not yet fiscally final.

8. Withdrawal from the catalogue

The creator may request the withdrawal of their work from the catalogue at any time: withdrawal immediately stops new purchases and removes the work from the storefront. Nothing is deleted: previous buyers keep access (except in case of refund or dispute) and royalties already matured remain due. The creator may later request publication again, subject to a new review.

9. Payouts

Payouts are made through Stripe Connect Express; the creator must complete Stripe's identity and information checks. Royalties mature 30 days after the sale and are paid automatically once the matured balance reaches EUR 25.00. Every royalty is linked to its charge and transfer to allow reconciliation.

10. Refunds, disputes and reversals

If a buyer is refunded or a chargeback occurs, the royalty for that sale is voided; if already paid out, the amount is reversed through a transfer reversal or offset against later earnings, and the buyer's access to the work is revoked. Sales that are not refunded remain unchanged.

11. Content, moderation and responsibility

The creator warrants that submitted inputs are lawful, do not infringe third-party rights and comply with STOORY's Content Policy. STOORY may refuse, suspend or remove a work for legal, moderation or compliance reasons, including after publication, without prejudice to obligations towards buyers already served. The creator may lodge a complaint against a moderation decision as described in the Content Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

STOORY may update these Terms. Changes apply to operations occurring after publication of the new version; the Terms version applied to each publication and sale is stored immutably.

13. Governing law

Italian law applies. Where the creator acts as a consumer, the mandatory protections of their country of residence remain unaffected.
